C'era una volta: una tavola apparecchiata {Once upon a time: a table laid}

Good morning to all, today I want to tell you a story. The story of a girl that even though eating alone at home loved set the table.

And I speak in the past because we depart from there.

There once was a girl that between work, sports, friends and family never let go sit around a table to eat a piece of pizza, the important thing was that if she was at home everything was put on a white tablecloth.

Then one day, sitting at a bar she meets her prince charming and then set the table was even more beautiful. After years of knowledge the two get married and maiden goes crazy to make the set of linen and lace every night at dinner seemed to be in a restaurant.

Then one day a test communicated to the a young couple who would become three and from there life changes.

Born the eldest you are catapult into a completely unknown reality: eating on the run between feedings, prepare dinner in record time and are mainly discovered placemats!

Until after the first few months, the baby started to sit down with the parents and from there began the disaster aesthetic ... Well yes because if the couple were happy to be a part of having a child with them as they grew up and learned to eat by himself, the other side was the young maiden (now even more so young too) who watched desperate the 'actions of the child.

But the various books of pedagogy and the various methods of education say that experience for the children is normal and right, almost a requirement and then the mother could not help but let it do ... Asking "but when will end all of this?"

Le tende {The Courtains}

Tende Classiche
Veneziane in legno
Tende a rullo
Tende pieghevoli o a pacchetto steccato
Tende a pacchetto
Tende a pannello

My Angela is always a source of inspiration! On a gray day like today for various reasons I was looking for inspiration to the post, and here I get a WhatsApp: "I need advice for curtains"

And here I am to explain the wonderful world of curtains!

So, the premise, the curtains are useful. That is, in addition to its aesthetic side, and privacy curtains are used to shelter the cold and the heat. Yes, because the glass is cooled by the cold and warms up with the sun, and the cold / heat goes into the house. The curtain creates a kind of air chamber which serves to repair a minimum of this outside temperature. It's clear that we have the old carpentry or where there are drafts of air, there is nothing to do, do not ask for miracles, but if the windows are ok, a curtain can make a slight difference.

After that ... What kind of courtain? But the shape of the window, its distance from the ceiling, its disposition in the room are things you have to take into account at the moment to choose them. You know, then you are with the curtain rod that will not let you open the doors ... (I swear I saw it, I swear)

So my selection of curtains is this. Not reveal any secret when I say that the classic does not go with me, so do not expect cloud courtains  because they will never enter at my home, sorry.

{Burgundy so Glam}

For years, we find it in the wardrobe but this year seems to want to impose. This winter will be the year of burgundy.

New? In fact, not too much because this color is nothing more than the old and well-known Bordeaux. Maybe a little 'more brownish shade as compared to Bordeaux but we are always there.

So then the black gives way to autumn this color that most can not. Beautiful, warm, friendly if then mixed with mustard absolutely Glam.

A color that knows how to stand out and do not want to be the master of the scene rather prefer a secondary role certain that the focus will still be on him!

Cremeria Emilia, Parma - Boutique alla Crema {Cremeria Emilia, Parma - Cream Boutique}

Before leaving for my week of relax (if you can call it with baby, dog and husband ...) in Parma, I peeked a little on tripadvisor (motor which I usually do not take into account too much) to see the little places where to eat.

I remain astonished to find in 1st place of 200 restaurants about a sandwich bar ... (But it 's really good sandwich) And among the top 20 an ice cream shop, and here widened my eyes.

Now ice cream and pizza are among my passions and living in Rome ice cream shops is not that there are my a few ... But only 3 are my favorites!

So obviously when I saw in the Cremeria Emilia in Via Farini like the gelateria more good in the world, I will sling instantly ...

Arrived in Parma I realize that the hotel is behind this gelateria ... What a disaster!!

From the outside there seems to be a magnet that attracts your attention, that draws you to enter. Everything is white, but not a cool white but a bleached wood that gives the idea of clean, fresh, good. A large window with a bench to sit on the outside and wood logs inside to enjoy your cone.

The creamery is tiny but a gem, seems to be in a boutique, it is certain that it does not seem to be in Parma but does not seem to be an Italian shop ...

Tastes are strictly contained in cylindrical containers with lid as in years gone by, and you can choose by looking at the illustrations, hand-drawn on squares of wood, various creams up. A variety of tastes not exaggerated (about 20) but all delicious, natural and original even traditional. Excellent puff pastry with homemade pastry or pistachio with true Bronte pistachios.

You can also choose from a hand-rolled cones or cups that are always cones but little  (such as those of the sundae of McDonald's, sorry for the comparison but it was for the idea). There are two taps steel from which come two rivers of chocolate, dark chocolate or gianduja, to put in the bottom of the cone. Each flavor costs 1 € and is composed in a very refined: a taste of one layer and the final taste is made by stretching upward, to hold together the taste is put a round wafer with the logo Emilia.

Beauty is directly proportional to the goodness ... Exquisite!! Finally a product that is not only well packed but also with a good quality!

Scheggia also appreciated even though he does not love ice cream and my husband, attentive to diet, say thanks God for having tasted only on the last evening.

A must try!

Pumpkins Muffin by Dulce Pecar

Today we host our first Guest! We are just thrilled!

She is Sílvia, from Reus, Spain, residing in Melbourne, Australia, with a passion for baking cupcakes, muffins, cookies and anything than can be possibly baked. All her recipes can be found in her blog "Dulce Pecar" (in Spanish) which will for sure sweeten your life. She has been invited to fill our suitcase of little pieces of heaven and is delighted to share this recipe which is perfect for Halloween. Delicious pumpkin muffins! Trick or treat!!!

Ingredients (for 12 units):

1 Egg
1 cup All-purpose Flour
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1-1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
60 gr of Butter, cut into pieces
1 cup Pumpkin Puree (to make it you will need a small pumpkin)
1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
1-1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Raisins

Preparation:

We will start preparing the pumpkin puree (you can also prepare it the day before and keep it in the fridge): cut the pumpkin into 2 pieces and remove the seeds with a knife. Then cut it into smaller pieces and put it in the oven (preheated to 180 degrees) during 20 minutes. We will know when it is cooked because the pumpkin will get softer and more "orangie". Once it is cooked, clet it cool down and then peel it and mash it with a potato masher or a blender. Keep it aside.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the baking cups in the muffins tin.

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Cut in butter and mix it all together until it is fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, and vanilla. Pour pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture and add raisins. Stir gently until mixture is just combined.
Pour into the baking cups (3/4 full) and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top of each unbaked muffin.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Once ready, put aside to allow the muffins to cool. Et voilá...ready to enjoy a super autumnal recipe!

La Poltrona {The Armchair}

At my parents' house was a place for every one on the couch, and then there was her, dad's armchair.

There was always one. As a child, there was the beautiful Ribbon Chair by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, more a sculpture than a armchair. Although its appearance is not inviting I can assure you that is comfortable, maybe you do not need to take a nap because you can not lay your head, but sometimes you have to sacrifice something ...

Then came the moment of the Gilda of Carlo Mollino produced by Zanotta, also a sculpture, warmer due to the wood, and much more comfortable for napping '_ ^

Of seats in my wish-list there are so many, I could make my top 9: the same Ribbon Chair and the Gilda, for reasons as well sentimental. The beautiful Vanity Fair from Poltrona Frau, without forgetting the legendary Egg by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, or the pretty Up5 by Gaetano Pesce for B & B Italy, the classic Lounge Chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra and the no less beautiful Louisiana by Vico Magistreti for DePadova. The ironic Joe by De Pas, d'Urbino and Lomazzi for Poltronova and last but not least the super copied armchair 402 by Alvar Aalto for Artek.

{Army Style}

Ecco qualche spunto.....

In a time when the political world seems to collapse the women seem to want to take back home and to make it they start from the look.

As the Soviet army jackets, boots strictly blacks and hats that from Basque to the visor frame the local warrior. A fashion that certainly does not go unnoticed, for a woman who wants to become in society.

It was a few years now that we had placed the uniforms, but this year seems to needs and dust them off and to dominate only one color: green, of course, military! There are some sectoral shops to find original military garments, or else from boutiques to markets will not be difficult, for this winter, find something trendy.

I really like this style although I prefer polish it with skirts and sequins.

Here are some ideas .....

Saturno Contro {Saturn in Oposition}

Saturno Contro.

Saturn via Nasa

Saturn in Opposition. So titled Opzetec in 2006 and so I start to write after two and a half years in which I've got Saturn absolutely against.

Theese years have been difficult for us Libra, full of limitations, fatigue and insurmountable obstacles. Although to tell the truth Saturn in the sign of Libra is in exaltation, which means that reflects all its qualities, and what a qualities!

Moral, stern, strict, rational that leaves no space for mistakes, in recent years passing and being at home has made a perfect host, noting all his strength.

Maybe will be a case but these two years have been colder winters and rigid over the past 30 years. As an example, so you could not see a snowfall in Rome since 1982, when Saturn was in the constellation of Libra because "the Lord of the Rings", let us call it,  takes about 29 and a half years to go around the zodiac ... Take it easy, it's true. But when he goes in Libra, leaves no concessions whatsoever. He is for justice, for things done with rigor, perseverance and meritocracy.

Now in all these crisis in the countries that are coming out is likely that he will have put his paw, saying that continuing like this is not going anywhere, and that if we want to emerge from the crisis it takes commitment, discipline and conscious. Not that there were not the first crisis, there was, however, but by now we all know it ...

Its passage in Scorpio will subvert worldwide. Surely in all financial matters and policies that belong to the sign of Scorpio, which is hidden in the symbolism, and hides to get them out of the closet ... So for all those who have acted in bad now there will not be more space.

But it must be said that not remaining indifferent to his request of will and commitment, should be able to tame his austerity, if you consider being prepared to take responsibility for achieving what you want, it is through him then you can really get where your ambitions will take you. So friends of the Libra, but also the rest of the signs, if you manage to pass the transit of Saturn you will definitely come out stronger!!

Meanwhile, best wishes to all Libra and a special toast to usher in the future, we hope, gorgeus!

Pulire, Tonificare, Idratare III {Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize III}

E dopo che ci siamo struccate... Ci tonifichiamo!!

Come farlo:

And after we had remove our make up ... We tone up!

What is a Facial Tonic? Tell you that the tonic is a very important step that we must not forget or neglect. The tonic improves the structure, irrigation increases bleeding that causes the regeneration of tissues, brings light and refreshes our face, not only closes the pores and ends to remove any dirt or impurity rest of the make-up remover has not eliminated altogether, but also prepares the skin to receive the moisturizer or nourishing.

Today I give you the recipe for a tonic to the basil. It is a tonic astringent, thus suitable for combination and oily skin (dry skin abstain).

Basil facial tonic:

What you need:

- Fresh basil. That you have in the pot to cook just fine.
- Distilled water
- Alcohol (I used alcohol 96 °, what used to disinfect wounds)

How to do it:

In a saucepan put the cold distilled water and 2/3 tablespoons fresh basil leaves. Let them boiled for a few minutes and let steep for 30 minutes.

Add the alcohol, no more than 10% to not dry out a lot the skin. The alcohol is used to preserve the tonic.

Wait until cool and ready for use.

Property:

Basil has soothing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and healing properties.

Come Fare una Scatola {How to Make a Box}

Raise your hand if you did not find that box pretty fit properly when needed.

All right.

We're all?

A box for what? I don't know, a gift, a place to put in order (or at least together) all the earrings, for tips, for the wires ... A box, that is.

I show you how to make a box with plain paper. I've got black, you can pick any one you like more, smooth, striped, polka dots ... ^ __ ^

It is a simple box, . The advantage is that you can make any size you desire, just follow the proportions, and if you want you can do also rectangular.

You need cardboard, ruler, pencil, scissors and glue for paper.

Zuppa di Porcini in Crosta {Crusted Porcini Soup}

Oggi siamo in cucina!

Porcini Soup by Angela - Part I

Porcini Soup by Angela Part II

Today we are in the kitchen! Now before I write the recipe of the week I want to specify that all my dish is the result of stolen prescriptions and adapted from websites, blogs, books, friends, traditions, and therefore I apologize right now if any dish could be stolen like this chef or that other but not remembering where I got the recipe do not mention the source (which is almost always my mom).

Here I am in the kitchen to show you how to make a soup with porcini mushrooms in the family that we adore.
The ease of execution is directly proportional to the goodness, so let's start by spending list.

ingredients:

350g mushrooms
350g mushrooms
1 potato
vegetable broth
salt
garlic
parsley
chilli

The trickiest part is definitely cleaning Porcino: Put the mushrooms to soak for a few minutes in salted water, then pull them out and eliminate the ground use a damp cloth. Once washed divide the hat of porcini, from the stem and thinly sliced stems and in large parts the mushroom head.

On the other hand cut the mushrooms into slices and place in a pan with the stems of the porcini, oil, garlic and parsley and let them fry.

Once the mushrooms are roasted well, add the hot vegetable stock and potatoes (already stripped and made into slices) salt and get everything in cooking over medium heat for 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare a sautéed mixture with garlic and pepper and throw in the heads of the porcini, and cook for about 5-7 minutes. When the porcini are cooked into the broth remove from the pan the chilli and whisk well, then add the heads of the porcini, and cook in the soup.

The soup is ready, but to make it even better I do in the crust.

Take a bowl that can be placed in the oven, put the soup inside and close the bowl with a disc of puff pastry and place in the oven at 180 degrees until the crust is golden.

tips:
To adhere the puff pastry to the bowl using a compound made with flour and water and with a brush pass it to the edge of the bowl.

For a perfect pastry repeatedly puncture with a fork and brush it with an egg.

{Wanders Mon Amour}

E' arrivato quel giorno.

Olandese, 49 anni, laureato "cum laude" nel  Institute of the Arts Arnhem.

Arrived that day. The one in which I talk about my passion for design by introducing the designers that have impressed me the most.

And I could not start from another. I love the design of this genius named Marcel Wanders. Dutch, 49 years old, graduated "cum laude" in Institute of the Arts Arnhem. You might think that the Dutch are cool to hear them talk but ... He has what one of my ex-boss called "the happy hand" that is, able to draw new things winking to the ancient without ever losing his personality.

I recognize that a "whole" Wanders can be a bit 'too much, his interiors are sometimes loads up to the limit, but his wallpaper however are so beautiful that I would put in each one of the rooms of my home perhaps on a single wall ^ __ ^

I consider him a 360 ° designer, designing furniture. ceramics, plates and cutlery, jewelery, interiors, anything! I leave some photos of its products, so open yourself to a world without end ...

Determinazione Vuitton {Determination Vuitton}

E proprio vero tutto torna !!!!

 A fashion show with a metropolitan vintage flavor. A woman who comes from the 60s but uses the technology of 2012. Escalators and corridors as if you were in an airport but dressed in chess, as well as women.

It was love at first sight, to follow in streaming the catwalk seemed that at any moment it would be transformed into a stage on which the models were ready to sing like Mina and Patty Pravo in the golden years.

I loved in this show the geometric perfection that marks a clear break with the romance of the past season, despite the flowers remain actually take a stylized form, color, black and white, but yellow, green and brown to break, mini coats and sweaters oversized, suits and long skirts, but especially the accessories!!

Small rectangular bags that accompany admirably the dress of a woman who comes with an imposing caracther despite her slender figure. Yes, because this is not just a fashion for all. You have to be lean and determined for a collection that does not accept half measures, here or mini or maxi. The shoes returns to be pointed, finally (because there is nothing more feminine), although the shape of the heel and the height (that even if comfortable, not excites me) do not convince me. And the hairstyles .... a dream.

It's true, it all comes back!!

Women, look for in these winter months all that your grandmothers, aunts and mothers have by the sixties because the women Vuitton, Marc Jacobs to take that next season. Meanwhile, I'm in the basement of grandmother hoping she would not have got anything of my aunts, and do Nicola burpees, because between navel showing and miniskirts must have a very slim line for anything!

{Toy Storage}

5- Via Boxes, 6- Pottery Barn Kids - Turner Toy Chest 7- Pottery Barns Kids - Woven Prayer Hamper

Cambio Stagione {Change Of Season}

Bottega Veneta

Dries Van Notten via Fabsugar

Lanvin via Fashion avec Passion

O my God, it is my most hated day of the year: the day of the change of season ... At home all are eclipsed and understand how to get out of suitcases and boxes is really hard, but also this time I'll make it.

In all this chaos, however, I find it amusing to put my clothes. In late August Anna said, "It makes me angry that I still have not put the socks of winter I have already thinking about what I put in 8 months!". And one side is right.

But the reality is this: fashion when used to our advantage, however, may be very useful! At a time when storing summer clothes do so after taking a look at the fashion shows spring / summer of the following year, so you know what to set aside for the coming year and what place for at least a couple of years because it will be out.

Label the boxes with roughly what you have inside is the only way you can survive and even make it less traumatic this fateful day. Obviously in my dream home is a walk-in closet!!

But in the meantime while we catalog look a little what's in store for the upcoming season through some pictures!

It will be a simple but elegant sensual woman that the designers have put on the runway a few days ago.
Soft colors light fabrics but strong lines. This summer I really like it!

My favorite for next summer: Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Balmain, Lanvin, Sonia Rykiel, Dries Van Noten, Armani, Byblos, Trussardi, Jil Sander, Fendi, Bottega Veneta and Blumarine.
